The food is great here. Please note that flash photography is the worst thing possible for food.
I was also very self conscious of the taking-pictures-of-food behavior that I was engaging in, tried to be as subtle as possible.

The conference which we attended is at the World Forum.

Grocery stores in The Netherlands warrant an entire blog post because they are just that great.
First off: so much produce. Great variety of fruit, greater variety of vegetables and pre-packaged vegetables, more so than Trader Joes.

Arrived at the house with two colleagues at 11:30pm on Sunday, 10/20/13. We took a taxi from the train station off The Hague Central (or Den Haag Centraal).

Landed in Amsterdam on Saturday, 10/19/13 at 10am and got to Holiday Inn by 11:30am.
Howard County Fair.
On Friday, 8/9/13, I went to the Howard County Fair. Maryland was a nice change of scenery from D.C. and I was pleasantly surprised by what the fair had to offer.
It was my first time seeing livestock up close.

4th of July in DC.
Independence Day in Washington D.C. was a splendid day indeed. I’m four days overdue on posting this and it’s midnight, so I’ll let pictures do more of the talking than my usual walls of text.
