Korea: a city tour of Seoul.

I have a lot to say about Seoul. Considering a short five day stay, I have relatively more to say compared to most countries I’ve been to. Much of this I must thank to:

  • Rolly, business contact turned friend.
  • Stephanie, fellow Cal student who is studying abroad at Yonsei University.
  • Andrew, friend since 7th grade! He’s just finished his masters in finance at Yonsei University.

On Saturday, April 19, Rolly took me on a full day city tour around the Seoul City Hall. We went to three palaces, beginning with Deoksugung Palace.

In the Taiwan mountains: Wulai

Apologies for not posting recently, I’ve been extremely busy and haven’t had any mental energy to produce blog posts.

On Sunday, April 4, I went hiking again with the Taipei Adventure Group. We were going to Wulai, a 45 minute drive away from the outskirts of Taipei city. We took the 849 bus from Xindian 新店 MRT Station.

A summary of three days in Singapore.

I am now one month behind in blogging about travels, it’s embarrassing. I’m currently in Seoul, South Korea. My experience in Korea has been, without question, my favorite in Asia. A lot of this is due to chance (good weather, good company), but also due to other factors. I’ll discuss more on this when I finally write about Seoul.

Bangladesh: the definition of a developing country.

I expected to be shocked in India, and therefore it did not hit me that hard.

Bangladesh is different. Not many traffic lights anywhere, not much road either. A lot of dirt as roads. Cars drove in both sides of a barely-distinguishable road, shared with bicycle rickshaws and pedestrians.

Similar to my awe of Sri Lanka’s countryside, I couldn’t take my eyes off the sights, and thus did not take many photos.
