Sugar and trans fat. I still see you. I still see what you do.
You dwell in my subconscious. You revolve around my friends. But, most importantly, you’re constantly displayed through advertising… false advertising, to be exact.
Generally, an average person does not research what he or she eats. Upon seeing your surface-level features, they are bound to be swayed. Moreover, due to your addictive and appealing traits, they quickly fall under your list of casualties of sugar and trans fat.
I do pity those individuals, for they have not read your warning labels. They have no idea what you are and what you do. Unless you’ve become a polysaccharide or monounsaturated fat, which you aren’t, you are still an artificially engineered and unhealthy chemical bond.
Since I completely stopped consuming you just past half a year ago, my physical and mental being has been far superior to the former. Those who have followed suit with the arduous task wholeheartedly agree. I can only hope that those who continue to consume you are somehow eating a disguised version of a polysaccharide or monounsaturated fat, and not the typical, adverse, lethal dosage of sugar and trans fat.
